Philosophy
Discovery Kids Learning Center is devoted to providing a child-centered program with a developmentally appropriate curriculum. We support and promote every child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and creative growth.
We believe all children are unique. Our programs are designed to match each child’s developmental level so they can learn and discover at a pace that’s right for them. We serve children ages 1 to 12 in Fruita and Grand Junction, offering experiences that enrich and enhance every area of development.
Fun and Learning for Kids
Throughout the day, children have opportunities to create, explore their environment, discover new interests, and learn through hands-on experiences. They practice problem-solving, build social skills, and develop a positive self-concept through a balance of child‑led and teacher‑guided activities. We provide time for both solitary play and group experiences.
The Best Staff
Our staff members are warm, nurturing role models who respond to each child’s individual needs. We respect families as a child’s first and most important caregivers and believe that parents and teachers are true partners in every child’s care and education.
Discovery Kids Learning Center is proudly owned by Kirk and Kim Huddleston, a husband-and-wife team who bring decades of business and early childhood experience to the families they serve. As parents of four children, they built Discovery Kids Learning Center from a genuine love for children, a strong belief in the value of quality early education, and a heartfelt commitment to creating a place where families feel supported and children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. After opening their original Fruita location in 2004, they were honored to continue that mission by opening their Grand Junction location in 2015.
